A missing will, an old family secret, jealousy and stubbornness alienate the family members from each other, only the return of Anne’s old flame gives the young woman some comfort. But then Anne makes a proposal that surprises everyone and turns her deep-rooted life upside down.
"Wader's Vineyard - The Family Secret" is the second installment of the movie cycle.
Winegrower Anne makes a fresh start at the neighboring winery Roscher. Of course, she still cares about the family's farm, which is now run by her mother Käthe. Unfortunately, Käthe does not have a good hand for an personal: Since Rolf Scherer leads the business, wine stocks are disappearing from the cellar.
As there are also problems with the new red wine and the office and all the bookkeeping burns down, Anne suspects that someone deliberately wants to bankrupt the farm and even suspects her own brother Matthias, who has come back from Hamburg.
By chance, Anne finds a letter, which contains a posthumous confession of her father: niece Jannika Wader is in fact his daughter and also has a claim on the heritage! The news hits Bruno like a bomb, who, full of fatherly pride, is celebrating Jannika's election for the Queen of Wine. Helpless, Christel has to experience how her husband and daughter turn away from her.
Meanwhile, Anne faces a challenge as a mother: daughter Tori is now 17 and wants her boyfriend to be allowed to stay the nights with her. Additionally, Annes future plans with Valentin Berens strain the relationship with her blind daughter.
