Synopsis
Set in a bucolic town, two competing bakers attempt to put their differences aside – one’s a staunch purist of traditional bake-craft, the other a shrewd mass-producer. Easier said than done thanks in part to both families pouring gas on the fire.

A tempestuous comedy
in the manner of “Welcome to the Sticks”, packed with playful wit plays out on
the bucolic stage of a southern German hamlet. The generational conflict
between the families of bakers reflects aptly our times of craftsmanship’s and
small-business’ frictions in the age of global- and digitalization. The story
has enjoyed fond telling in Germany on tv, the stage and radio. The cynical
businessman and mass-producer is played by Simon Licht („The Baader Meinhof
Complex“).
